Privacy Policy

Effective date: December 2024

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data SideFrame collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Our goal is simple: help you create before/after visuals without collecting personal data we don’t need.

What we do in short

  • During beta, your images never leave your device. We process images locally in your browser.
  • We don’t store your before/after images on our servers.
  • We only collect minimal operational data needed to run the site (e.g., basic server logs).
  • If we add cloud features later (sync, share links, AI, etc.), we’ll update this page and request consent where required.

Data we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact messages. If you email us or contact us for support, we’ll receive the details you send (e.g., your email address and message contents).

Information we process locally

  • Before/after images and settings. Image edits, frames, labels, spacing and exports are processed locally in your browser during beta. SideFrame does not upload these files to our servers.

Automatically collected (basic)

  • Server logs. When you visit our site, our hosting provider may automatically log your IP address, user agent, and requested URLs for security and operational purposes. These logs are retained for a short period and are used to keep the service reliable and secure.

Cookies and analytics

SideFrame does not use cookies for advertising or cross‑site tracking. If we enable privacy‑friendly, cookie‑free analytics (e.g., basic, aggregated usage metrics), we will update this section with details and a link to the provider’s documentation.

How we use information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve SideFrame.
  • To respond to support requests and feedback.
  • To protect against abuse, spam, or security threats.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We only share information when necessary to operate the service (for example, with our hosting provider) or when required by law.

Data retention

We keep contact/support emails for as long as needed to address your request and maintain reasonable business records. Operational server logs are kept for a short, limited period.

Your choices

  • You can export or delete the files you create at any time; they’re on your device.
  • You can contact us to request deletion of support emails you’ve sent us.

Children’s privacy

SideFrame is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves (for example, if we add cloud features like sync or sharing). When we make material changes, we’ll update the effective date above and, when appropriate, provide additional notice.
